Getting to Metta Lodge via Johor Bahru Airport, Malaysia

The nearest airport to Metta Lodge is Senai International Airport (JHB) Johor Bahru, which is a 30-minute drive away. Please plan your flight to arrive at Senai Airport before 5pm on the day the course begins, and your return flight should depart after 1pm on the day the course ends. You may follow this link for guidance on transiting to a different terminal at KLIA. Please e-mail us your flight itinerary once you have booked your flight, so that someone will wait for you at Metta Lodge upon your arrival. For foreign students, please remember to check and obtain the necessary visa for your entry into Malaysia.
To go to Metta Lodge from Senai Airport, you can take a taxi from the airport, which will cost about RM50. After clearing immigration and customs at the airport, please head to the taxi counter (in front of the Aeromall main entrance) to purchase the taxi coupon.
Just ask any airport staff member for assistance if you cannot locate the taxi counter. Please do not use the services of individual taxi drivers who approach you directly, as some of them may not be trustworthy. At the taxi counter, book your taxi by providing them with the address for Metta Lodge:

Once you have paid the staff at the airport taxi coupon counter, you will receive a taxi coupon that will clearly indicate your destination and how much you have paid. There is no need to pay the taxi driver again – unless you wish to tip the driver (there is no tipping culture in Malaysia, so it is entirely up to you). The driver will tear off a part of the coupon to record the trip. Some drivers may not know where to drop you off, but you can easily identify Metta Lodge as it is the tallest building on that street with a large lotus on top.
